Groblersdal - A 34-year-old woman was allegedly shot and killed by her boyfriend in Marble Hall near Grobersdal on Sunday, Mpumalanga police reported.
Captain Malculm Mokomene said the woman was at her home with her mother when the attack happened at about 18:00.
Apparently, the woman's boyfriend arrived and they both went outside. A fight broke out and he allegedly shot her in the back eight times as she was trying to flee.
He tried to get away, but was prevented from doing so by members of the community, who alerted police.
He was arrested and would appear in court soon. Police confiscated a 9mm firearm.
