Durban - A family custody battle has erupted between the son of Minority Front leader Amichand Rajbansi and his former mother-in-law.
The child's mother and Vimal Rajbansi's ex-wife, Karnagie Tandree, was found strangled in her Morningside flat.
The matter was complicated by claims by a bouncer that Tandree had begged him to kill her so that her family could benefit from a R10m insurance policy on her life. Her son is currently the sole beneficiary of her estate.
It has emerged that Tandree also wanted her mother to benefit from the policy, but she died before her will could be
altered.
The son has since become the subject of a custody battle after his father went to court to get access from his maternal grandmother, Priscilla Tandree.
A court decided on Monday that matter would be adjourned until next year to allow the parties to reach an agreement out of court.
