Man dies after mob attack

bethlehem - A Free State man died at a police station after he was attacked by vigilantes accusing him of taking part in an attempted murder in Mphatlalatse near Qwaqwa, police said on Wednesday.
Captain Motarafi Ntepe said the man was attacked on Tuesday with sticks, iron bars and pangas before he was frogmarched to the Makwane police station where he was handed over to police.
A police official on duty detained him.
On Wednesday at 05:45 a police officer who was reporting for duty noticed that the man was bleeding profusely and called paramedics who only arrived at 08:30.
The man was already dead when they arrived.
