New Year murders in Midlands

Pietermaritzburg - Two murders were reported to KwaZulu-Natal Midlands police on New Year's Day.
Captain Joshua Gwala said 42-year-old Lindeni Dladla was shot in the head, allegedly after an argument with her husband on New Year's Eve.
Police were called at 1am on Thursday and found her body at the homestead where she lived at Ntabamhlope, near Estcourt.
A 52-year-old man was arrested and a .38 revolver seized.
The man is to appear in the Estcourt Magistrate's Court.
Gwala said the body of a 42-year-old man, Sipheku Gumede, was found in the Emaus area near Bergville around 1.30am. He had been shot several times.
