Orgy of murder, rape in Mpuma

Ermelo - A 74-year-old pensioner was found stabbed dead with three knives still sticking out of her body on Human Rights Day.
Betty Nkosi of Mayflower outside Ermelo is one of nine people reported murdered in Mpumalanga over the long weekend.
Her grandchild made the traumatic discovery.
"This was a really shocking killing," said Eastern Highveld police spokesperson Sergeant Charles Nkosi on Tuesday. "One knife was protruding from her neck, another from her chest and a third from her stomach. The fourth knife lay next to her body."
He said Nkosi had been alone at home when her attackers struck some time on Saturday.
Neighbours confirmed that they had seen her the previous afternoon before she went to bed.
Sergeant Nkosi said the motive for the killing is not known but assured that police were working around the clock to trace the killers.
The four knives have been sent for fingerprint tests.
The eight people killed over the weekend included 16-year-old Sabelo Sibisi of Piet Retief whose friend stabbed him in a fight over knife at 23:00 on Friday.
Lowveld area police spokesperson Captain Sibongile Gama said Lovey Ngobe, 39, of KaBokweni was shot dead by two unknown men on Friday night.
Two security guards, John Sihlangu and Simon Shabangu, were tied up and killed inside Peter's Cash and Carry in KaMhlushwa south of Malelane on Saturday night.
Washing powder was thrown over their bodies.
Captain Gama said police later found a bakkie loaded with groceries, but that no one has been arrested.
At Tonga tribal trust, Sipho Mahlalela, 30, was stabbed dead on Monday afternoon for laughing at a shebeen owner. The shebeen owner will appear in court soon.
Gama said a 54-year-old woman was also arrested for stabbing her husband dead in a drunken argument in Karino.
Meanwhile, Petros Mhlongo from Msogwaba trust near Nelspruit was shot dead in his home on Monday morning by unknown suspects.
The body of an unknown man was found stabbed next to a road at Barberton on Monday morning.
Meanwhile, altogether 22 rapes against women, teenagers and children were reported in the province during the weekend.
