Cape Town - Police seized two tons of perlemoen (abalone) valued at about R700 000 from a house in Delft, near here on Wednesday and arrested six people, said Western Cape police.
Captain William Reid said the house was obviously a warehouse for poached perlemoen as it contained five freezers and a fridge.
Two women, three men, and the 16-year-old son of one of the women, were arrested and were due to appear in Bellville magistrate's court on Friday.
