Port Elizabeth - What do you give someone who already has everything he could ask for?
If wordly treasures are no longer good enough, outer space will just have to do.
Now the whole world can also look for Nelson Rholihlahla Mandela in the Southern Cross constellation.
Ivan May, a former executive manager of the Nedbank group, and a well-known personality in society, bought the star, as well as a star for Graca Machel, over the internet through an American company called International Star Registry.
The birthday parcel handed over to Madiba, includes a map of the universe and a booklet with directions on how to find one's star.
However, the star names are not scientifically recognised because the International Astronomical Union is the only scientific body that may approve a change in a star's name.
"What would you have given Madiba?" send a letter to the editor, and tell us your thoughts.
