Johannesburg - "I will never forgive Donovan Moodley," said Sharon Matthews about her daughter's killer when she arrived at the Johannesburg High Court on Friday.

Moodley has been convicted of kidnapping and murdering student Leigh Matthews.

On Thursday the victim's father Rob Matthews and the killer's father Stephen Moodley testified about the pain they were both enduring.

They were rumoured to have shaken hands afterwards.

Rob Matthews said on Friday that Stephen Moodley's testimony about his son being a murderer must have been extremely difficult to deliver.

"It was heartbreaking to hear what he had to say," Sharon Matthews added. "I can never forgive Donovan Moodley but as a parent you feel for him (Stephen)."

"There will be a time to connect," said Rob Matthews when asked whether he shook Stephen Moodley's hand.
