Baby Jordan 4 'prefer jail'

Cape Town - Three men and a juvenile made their fourth appearance in the Wynberg magistrate's court on Friday for the murder of six-month-old baby girl Jordan Leigh Norton.
The infant was stabbed in the neck and left under a pillow in her bedroom to bleed to death on June 15, after the four suspects allegedly gained entry to the Norton home by pretending to be couriers delivering a parcel.
The suspects were represented by defence counsel Charles Simon who has decided not to launch a bail application.
Friday's proceedings were in the Wynberg juvenile court before magistrate Pearl Andrews, who permitted the presence of the media.
At prosecutor John Ryneveld's request the case was postponed to August 10 for further investigation and possibly a High Court date.
Ryneveld said the investigation was almost complete and that only administrative documentation had still to be done.
At the next hearing, the four suspects will join Dina Rodrigues, 24, in the dock. She was recently released on R20 000 bail.
It is alleged that she contracted the four to kill the baby for a fee of R10 000 - as the baby had been fathered without her knowledge by Neil Wilson, who had earlier proposed marriage to her.
At her bail hearing Rodrigues told the court she still considered Wilson her boyfriend, and that she had only declined his proposal because she did not feel ready for marriage yet.
She and her four alleged accomplices face charges of premeditated murder and armed robbery.
In the dock on Friday were Zanethemloa Gwada, 18, Mongezi Bobakyane, 22, Sipho Mfazwe, 32, and a 16-year-old youth.
