  • Cape Town - Five murder accused appeared in the Wynberg magistrate's court on Wednesday in connection with the death of six-month-old Jordan Leigh Norton.

The infant was allegedly murdered when three men and a juvenile conned their way into the Jordan house by pretending to be couriers delivering a package.

On Wednesday counsel for four of the accused gave the State notice of his intention to bring a bail application for all four.

Charles Simon asked that the State in no way interfere with his clients, by asking them questions for example.

The bail application for the four was postponed to September 1.

Dina Rodrigues is already out on R20 000 bail and her bail conditions were extended.

An identity parade will take place on August 20.

All five will appear again on September 16.

Counsel for Rodrigues, John van der Berg, placed on record his desire to obtain the State's docket on this date.

Van der Berg also wanted photographic and video evidence the State had as well as originals of certain documentary evidence.

The other four in the dock on Wednesday were Zanethemloa Gwada, 18, Mongezi Bobakyane, 22, Sipho Mfazwe, 32, and a 16-year-old youth.
