Johannesburg - One of the four men charged with the murder of six-month-old Cape Town baby Jordan Leigh Norton has confessed to being the killer, a Wynberg magistrte heard on Friday.
The revelation came during the bail hearing of taxi driver and shebeen owner Sipho Mfazwe who confessed to driving the other three accused to the baby's Landsdowne home on June 15 this year.
Prosecutor John Ryneveld read out in court a confession made by Mfazwe co-accused Mongezi Bobotyane who said Mfazwe told him he had a job to kill a child.
They went to a house where they gained entry by pretending to deliver a parcel.
"We took clothing and shoes...after that I killed the child," he said in the confession.
The magistrate who took the confession noted at this point "the deponent starts crying, he is given time to recover and handed tissues".
