Belgian raped: Four remanded

Johannesburg - Four men facing charges of raping a Belgian student appeared in Soweto magistrate's court on Friday.
The four also have been charged with kidnapping and robbery, but have not been asked to plead.
The student was raped after going with a friend to a party in Mapetla. Police were alerted to the attack and the men were arrested.
Their bail applicaiton was postponed to October 3.
An investigation was underway on the ramifications of a newspaper publishing photographs of the accused before they had appeared in an identity parade, said control prosecutor for sexual offences Louise Nel.
The men's names may not be released until they have pleaded to the sexual offence allegations.
