6-year-old raped: Brother held

Pietermaritzburg - A 21-year-old man was arrested by police on Wednesday for raping his six-year-old sister after an argument with their mother at the weekend.
Inspector Les Botha said the man assaulted his mother then dragged her outside their home in Dambuza, Plessislaer, on Saturday.
Crying, his sister followed them outside, begging her brother to leave their mother alone.
He took out a knife, threatening to kill his mother, before dragging his sister into nearby bushes and raping her, said Botha.
He fled, chased by his mother and neighbours, when they found out what he had done the next day after asking the child about the bruises on her face and body.
Family violence, child abuse and sexual assault unit investigations led to the arrest of the man on Wednesday.
He was due to appear soon in Pietermaritzburg magistrate's court.
