Police reservist killed in mall

Johannesburg - A police reservist was killed on Sunday during a shoot-out with robbers outside a supermarket in Rosebank Mall, Johannesburg, a spokesperson said.
Sergeant Sanku Tsunke said a gang of about 10 robbers attacked staff at Pick 'n Pay supermarket in Rosebank shopping centre where they emptied the tills.
A police reservist, who was at the mall with his friend who is a constable, was informed of the robbery.
The two went to investigate and met the gang on their way out.
A shoot-out ensued and the reservist was shot in the neck.
He died at the scene.
Tsunke said no arrests were made and the robbers made off with the money.
