Thohoyandou - The body of a man with the genitals removed and chop wounds to the head, was found in the bush near Thohoyandou on Sunday morning, Limpopo police reported.

Superintendent Ailwei Mushavhanamadi said police suspected the man was the victim of a ritual murder.

Beside him was a 19-year-old woman, nearly dead from her injuries after her lips had been removed.

The two were found near Shadani-Makonde, near Thohoyandou in the far north of Limpopo province.

No arrests have been made.
