Thohoyandou - Two "witchdoctors" accused of murdering a 29-year-old man and trying to kill his 19-year old girlfriend were denied bail in Thohoyandou magistrate's court on Monday, police said.
Police spokesperson Captain Mashudu Malero said Mukondeleli Albert Phosha, 54, and Shumani Robert Dzebu allegedly murdered Maande Konde and tried to kill his girlfriend.
Konde's body was found without his private parts last month, said Malero.
His girlfriend was found unconscious next to his body.
Her lips had been cut off. She was in a critical condition in George Mukhari Hospital.
Malero said Phosha and Dzebu were arrested at the weekend after they were found in possession of the missing private parts and lips.
They were remanded and the case postponed to November 23.
