09/12/2005 13:05 - (SA)
Pretoria - Pretoria police are looking for an alleged rapist with a piece of his tongue missing.
Inspector Lucas Sithole said on Friday police were looking for a man who's rape victim bit off a part of his tongue.
"We have a part of his tongue and are keeping it at the mortuary. We are hoping that the man might have sought treatment somewhere and those people, be it doctors of private individuals, might contact us," Sithole said.
He said the man, believed to be in his 20s or 30s, also had a rash on his face.
"He allegedly raped a woman on Thursday afternoon in central Pretoria," Sithole said.
The man allegedly forced a 30-year-old-woman into a place close to the corner of Prinsloo and Boom streets and raped her. She however managed to bite off a piece of his tongue before he fled.
Sithole said anyone with information could contact the investigating officer, Wilfred Kekana, on 082 778 7893.
