Two held for car theft

Vereeniging - Two Sowetans have been arrested near Sharpeville, in Vereeniging, after stealing a Toyota Hilux at Vaal Park in the Free State, Gauteng police said on Thursday.
They were part of a gang of four seen stealing the 2003 model Hilux early on Thursday.
Sasolburg police pursued the gang into Gauteng and arrested the two, aged 27 and 32, after the BMW325i they were travelling in hit a rock near Sharpeville.
The stolen Hilux was recovered, abandoned, along the N1, and returned to its owner.
The BMW was impounded and taken to Sasolburg, where its ownership was being ascertained.
The two men would appear in Sasolburg magistrate's court next Tuesday.
