Johannesburg - Police seized drugs with a street value of about R500 000 and arrested 15 people, including Nigerians and Zimbabweans, in a raid in Johannesburg's high-rise suburb of Berea on Thursday evening.

Superintendent Kriban Naidooof Hillbrow police said the various types of drugs included "87 moon rocks" and 25 sachets of cocaine powder.

"Much of it was still in pure form and had yet to be mixed up (to sell)," he said.

During the raid, police also took possession of two illegal firearms, both with their serial numbers erased.
