Huge power outage in Jo'burg Birds spark blackouts - Eskom Leave early, Jhb drivers warned Jhb powerless against outages

Johannesburg - Power has been restored to all suburbs in south-west Johannesburg which experienced an outage on Wednesday afternoon, said City Power.

The electricity went out at 16:50 and was restored at 17:35, said City Power spokesperson Sol Masolo.

According to City Power's call centre, suburbs affected included Riverlea, Claremont, Westdene, Lenasia, Fordsburg, Auckland Park, Langlaagte North, Eikenhof, Kibler Park and Greymont.

Masolo said the reason for the outage was not yet known.
