Police warn truck drivers

Johannesburg - Mpumalanga police have warned truck drivers of a hijacking syndicate operating in and around Secunda.
Superintendent Liphapang Khoabane said two trucks were hijacked there in similar incidents this week.
On Wednesday, motorists indicated to a truck driver that there was something wrong with the cargo.
"Immediately after he stopped, another vehicle pulled over and a number of armed men ordered the truck driver to get out of the truck."
Another truck was hijacked in similar circumstances on Monday. Khoabane urged truck drivers not to pull over immediately if motorists told them there was something wrong, but to stop at filling stations or "anywhere safe".
