18/02/2006 17:52 - (SA)
Johannesburg - Free State police confiscated dagga worth at least R210 000 near Clarens, along the South African border with Lesotho, on Saturday.
Free State police spokesperson, Captain Hennie Labuschagne, said police reservists were patrolling the area when they suspected a Gauteng-registered bakkie near Mooi Farm and went to investigate.
Labuschagne said: "When the suspects saw them, they ran away across the Lesotho border."
He said 26 bags of dagga were found in the vehicle, which was also seized.
