Pretoria - Six people were arrested at a security complex in Pretoria on Tuesday after being found in possession of drugs with an estimated street value of about R500 000, said police.

"Four men and two women, aged between 17 and 36, were held," said inspector Anton Breedt.

The confiscated drugs included LSD, CAT, cocaine, ecstasy and the date-rape drug, Rohypnol, he said.

Reluctant to divulge the name of the security complex for fear of jeopardising possible further arrests, Breedt said the bust came after intensive surveillance.

"The arrests were made in Moreleta Park (east of Pretoria) after an investigation," he said.

The suspects were due to appear in Pretoria magistrate's court on charges of possession of, and dealing in, illegal substances.
