Jhb security guard killed

Johannesburg - A security guard was killed and three others wounded after a gang of 10 armed men descended on a petrol station in Cyrildene on Wednesday morning, said police.
Superintendent Chris Wilken said: "A Chubb security guard was fatally injured and a customer was shot in the head. He was airlifted to Milpark Hospital in a critical condition."
The men arrived at the Zenex garage about 09:30 under the pretence of wanting to give a parcel to the manager.
"Some (of the men) were outside. They drew guns and various shots were fired."
Another private security guard was shot and wounded in the finger and a second customer in the left leg. Both men were taken to a local hospital. The gang later fled.
Wilken said that while the motive for the shooting was not known, the possibility that the incident was related to the ongoing strike by security guards could not be ruled out.
Wilken said: "We will definitely look into the possibility that it could be linked to strike, but there's no definite evidence at this stage."
