Thohoyandou - A Limpopo man has been arrested and charged with rape after he forced himself on his sick wife.

Police said the couple had an argument over sex on Tuesday morning when the wife complained that she was not feeling well.

"Her husband then allegedly punched and kicked her and then raped her," said Vhembe police spokesperson Ailwei Mushavhanamadi on Thursday.

The suspect was arrested at the couple's home in Tshifulanani outside Thohoyandou.

He will appear in court soon.

In a separate incident, three teenagers will appear in court on Friday on charges of raping three young girls.

The boys, two who are aged 15 and one aged 17, were arrested on Tuesday at Makotopong Ga Malatji village outside Polokwane.

Capricorn area police spokesperson Superintendent Patty Khumalo said the boys were accused of dragging the girls aged 12, 13 and 14 to an empty shack in the village and repeatedly raping them.
