Body of mutilated woman found 'Human stew' has cops puzzled Man dies in 'muti' attack

Johannesburg - The half-naked, mutilated body of a 30-year-old woman has been found in the Nulodi mountains outside Thohoyandou, said Limpopo police on Sunday.

Her right palm, her upper lip, her left ear and the front part of her breasts were cut off, said superintendent Ailwei Mushavhanamadi.

She was naked from the waist down and a rope was tied around her neck.

"She went with some children into the mountains on Saturday to collect wood. The children returned, but she didn't.

He said that on Sunday neighbours went to the chief's kraal to get permission to look for her. They went into the mountains with police and found the woman lying dead on her back."

Mushavhanamadi said her identity could not be released.

He said anyone with information about the murder should contact their nearest police station.

Limpopo police were investigating the "ritualistic" murder.
