Johannesburg - A hijacking case involving a member of the air force has been postponed by Kempton Park magistrate's court, said police on Monday.
The case against Vivian Pillay was postponed to Monday next week, said senior superintendent Mary Martins-Engelbrecht.
Pillay was arrested in Boksburg on Friday by the flying squad.
He has been charged with possession of stolen vehicles as well as ammunition.
At the time of his arrest, he apparently was found with a VW Polo that had been reported stolen on Thursday.
Follow-up investigations led police to Pillay's house in Bonaero Park where three more stolen cars apparently were found.
Stencils for serial numbers
Several R-5 and 9mm rounds of ammunition, blue lights used by police, and a further 11 vehicle registration papers allegedly were found at the house.
Police also confiscated two stencils used to engrave serial numbers on engines and chassis numbers on vehicles.
Pillay is suspected of being a member of a hijacking syndicate.
More arrests were expected, said Martins-Engelbrecht.
