Johannesburg - An Mpumalanga man arrested one of five armed robbers who held the man and his family at gunpoint in their home and stole R10 000 worth of goods, police said on Wednesday.
Inspector Thabiso Nconguwe said the robber was caught when he went back to the house in Secunda to take more goods.
This was after he and four others stormed into the 40-year-old man's house in Embalenhle township on Monday at 20:30.
"The suspect sustained head injuries and was arrested, and is in police custody," Nconguwe said.
The robber was found with a 9mm pistol believed to be unreported stolen state property.
Electrical appliances, a duvet set, two cellphones and an undisclosed amount of cash were stolen.
