Johannesburg - Baby Jordan-Leigh Norton murder accused Dina Rodrigues was denied bail in the Cape High Court on Monday, SABC radio new reported.

Rodrigues and her four co-accused were charged with the murder of the six-month-old girl almost 18 months ago.

According to the SABC, Rodrigues, who would not be spending Christmas at home, looked clearly disappointed when Judge Burton Fourie turned down her bail application. She was handcuffed and led away.

Protesters outside the court were happy with the ruling.

Rodrigues' case resumes on January 29 2007.
