Johannesburg - A Tembisa woman has accused a pastor of indecent assault after she went to him for a prayer session, said Gauteng police on Thursday.
Eugene Opperman of North Rand police said the 30-year-old woman felt ill and visited the 56-year-old pastor at his home in Tembisa on Tuesday to ask him to pray for her.
The pastor took the woman in and offered her tea that allegedly was mixed with wine.
She felt dizzy and the pastor tried to take advantage of her.
"The woman claims he touched her all over her body and also tried to undress her," said Opperman.
The matter was reported to police who arrested the pastor on charges of indecent assault on Wednesday.
He is due to appear before Tembisa magistrate's court soon.
