  • Nelspruit - A farm owner was robbed after he let a gang of men posing as police officers into his house near Dennilton, Mpumalanga police said on Friday.

The 40-year-old farmer was at work on Wednesday when six men dressed in police uniforms "arrested" him, said captain Klaas Maloka.

They drove the man to his house and when they were inside, tied him up and threw him to the ground.

A firearm with ammunition, a printer, DVD player, food and R3 000 in cash was taken.

Moloka said the gang also stole the man's bakkie before escaping.

No arrests were made and the man was not injured in the attack.

A case of robbery was opened for investigation.
