Johannesburg - An Mpumalanga farmer and his wife were attacked and robbed on their farm near Grootvlei on Sunday morning, police said.
Johan Kruger, 32, and wife Elmarie, 27, were woken around 01:00 by barking dogs on the farm Leeuspruit.
Elmarie found three men in the house when she went to investigate, inspector Thabiso Ncongwane said.
They'd gained entry to the house through the window of the living room.
"The men went to the bedroom, threatened the man at gunpoint and demanded money and car keys.
"They tied up the couple, as well as the man's parents, before fleeing with electrical appliances and a handgun in the couple's bakkie and car."
The trio was still at large, added Ncongwane.
