Johannesburg - The family of a Thaba Tshwane (Pretoria military base) woman, who was found hanging in a wardrobe, believe she would not have committed suicide.
The family of Marietie de Villiers Muller, 48, appointed a private detective agency to look into her death.
Kobus van Graan, Muller's brother, said she was found by her fiancee, who rushed her to 1 Military Hospital.
She was declared dead on arrival at the hospital.
"We do not believe she would have committed suicide because she was a very strong woman. She would not have done anything like that.
"She has an eleven year old girl that she adopted as a baby, and would not have abandoned the child," he said.
Van Graan said the girl was currently with her biological mother.
Muller's family and friends have appointed Mike Bolhuis, the owner of Specialised Security Services, to look into the incident.
Bolhuis said he had taken various statements and he hoped to deliver his findings soon.
