Cape Town - A pupil from Oscar Mpetha High School in Nyanga was rushed to GF Jooste hospital on Tuesday after he was apparently stabbed in class.

Details were still sketchy but it appeared that three suspects ran into the classroom and stabbed the boy.

The boy, a Grade 9 pupil, was apparently stabbed six times.

The attackers are believed to have come onto school premises during break and one of them was thought to be a fellow pupil.

It was believed the attack was in retaliation to an incident last week.
