Johannesburg - Sentencing procedures for the "Waterkloof Four" were expected to start in the Pretoria regional court on Monday, the SABC reported.

Christoff Becker, Reinach Tiedt, Frikkie du Preez and Gert van Schalkwyk were convicted on separate charges of murder and assault of two men last year.

The crimes were apparently racist.

The four assaulted their first victim, and then kicked, punched and stabbed to death their second victim in a park in Pretoria on their way back from a night club in Hatfield in December 2001.

The trial was postponed last week because one of their legal representatives was overseas.

Their bail was extended. The court is expected to hear final arguments on Monday morning.
