Durban - Two men were killed in a drive-by shooting in Durban on Thursday, said police.

Captain Edmund Singh said the two were shot dead and a third was wounded in Chatsworth.

One of those killed was a man known as "Goni", whom residents have labelled a "sugars" druglord. Sugars is a concoction of Rattex, cocaine and heroin.

Details of the shooting were not available, but apparently the shooting took place outside the Chatsworth Anti-Drug Forum.

Goni and the other two men were in their car when it was raked by bullets from high-calibre guns.

The third man was taken to the nearby RK Kahn Hospital.
