Robbers arrested in Boksburg

Johannesburg - Two cash-in-transit-heist robbers were arrested following a short a car chase with police, Ekurhuleni metro police said on Tuesday.
The two men, aged 35 and 26-years old were arrested in Boksburg and Alberton on Monday afternoon.
The two were arrested in connection with a cash-in-transit heist in Duduza on the East Rand.
A police officer was hurt when the 35-year-old robber knocked him over with his car, while the 26-year-old robber did not resist arrest," said inspector Mveli Nhlapo.
The robbers were found in possession of an illegal firearm, a motorbike, as well as two cars.
The injured police officer was in a stable condition in hospital.
The two face charges of attempted murder, resisting arrest, possession of an illegal firearm and armed robbery.
