Johannesburg - City Press editor Mathatha Tsedu's son was found murdered in the boot of his car, SABC news reported on Friday.
His body was found burnt beyond recognition in the boot of his car in an open field in Nooitgedagt near Muldersdrift, west of Johannesburg.
Apparently he had been driving to Honeydew to meet someone at about 20:00 on Thursday night.
The 31-year-old chartered account had phoned his wife telling her that he thought he was being hijacked.
He said that he was being sandwiched by two cars, one of which had no number plate.
His wife called the police but to no avail. She later searched the area with a family member. She found firefighters trying to extinguish the flames from her husband's car.
He had been burnt beyond recognition.
