Limpopo pupils burn school
13/12/2006 08:35 - (SA)
Johannesburg - A group of Limpopo pupils, apparently angered because they failed their final examinations, set fire to their school, SABC news reported on Tuesday.
The Grade 10 learners threatened to burn down Radikgomo High School in Ga-Motiba, outside Polokwane, if they failed this year.
Tyres and plastic containers were used to set the school alight. All school records and examination reports were destroyed in the fire.
The damage was expected to delay the start of the new school year by a few weeks.
Police were investigating a case of arson and malicious damage to property, the SABC reported.
