Johannesburg - A milk truck was robbed by four armed men at Lothair near Ermelo on Friday, Mpumalanga police said.

Superintendent Abie Khoabane said men in a red Toyota Cressida pulled the milk truck off the road and robbed the driver of R4 500 and his cellphone.

"Two got into the milk truck and drove for a while, then they decided not to take the truck, robbed the driver and fled," he said.

The driver was not injured. The four men are still at large.

Khoabane warned motorists in the area to be on the lookout for the red Cressida.
