Johannesburg - Three armed men robbed a primary school in Roodepoort on Wednesday, fleeing with an undisclosed amount of money, said Gauteng police.

Captain Joseph Magoai said the robbers threatened teachers in the office with a firearm and demanded cash.

They searched the office, found the school safe and emptied it before making their getaway, he said.
