Scottburgh - Two men pleaded not guilty in Scottburgh magistrate's court on Thursday to raping three Durban women and indecently assaulting another.
Sithembiso Shelembe, 23, and Mthokozisi Mbambo, 29, stand accused of robbery with aggravating circumstances, rape, attempted murder and indecent assault.
A third man, Wonder Mchunu, pleaded guilty to all the charges against him.
The three allegedly raped three Durban women at a beach house in Pennington, south of Scottburgh on the KwaZulu-Natal south coast, on December 29.
They are accused of attacking and robbing another couple later that night.
In a protest outside the court, almost 200 people sang songs and carried placards, several carried effigies of men hanging from the noose.
Afrikaans singer Steve Hofmeyr joined the protesters at the men's first appearance earlier in the week.
