Widow 'will intimidate witnesses'

Johannesburg - There was evidence Mulalo Sivhidzo would intimidate witnesses if released on bail, the Krugersdorp magistrate's court heard on Friday.
Sivhidzo and five others stand accused of murdering her husband Avhatakali Netshisaulu, the son of City Press editor Mathatha Tsedu, in December.
"Do you have any evidence under oath that the applicant will intimidate any witnesses if released on bail?" Sivhidzo's lawyer Dolf Jonker asked the investigating officer under cross examination.
Inspector Makhebe Madibo said he had, but would not release the name of the witness at risk.
Magistrate Mariette Louw asked to see the sworn statement.
The state prosecutor had no objection provided the defence did not get to see it.
The matter was adjourned for lunch.
Sivhidzo has not had a fixed address since her arrest as a member of her husband's family has moved into the couple's home.
"On (December 19) the parents of (Sivhidzo) went to the house and removed her stuff because they did not know what would happen to it," Madibo told the court.
