Family of 6 wiped out with gun

Johannesburg - A family of six was found on Tuesday, shot dead in a home in Vanderbijlpark in the Vaal Triangle, said police.
Inspector Trudie Wilken said: "At 10:00, the bodies of the six were discovered."
Four boys, aged between eight and 15, their mother, in her 40s, and their grandmother, in her 70s, were found with gunshot wounds to the head.
"The mother and the two little ones were lying on a bed in the main bedroom.
"The other boy was found in the kitchen. Another one had tried to hide in a cupboard in the passage. The grandmother was found on her bed," said Wilken.
A strange smell
According to the police's initial investigation, the six were killed on Monday morning.
Police were called when someone tried to gain access to the house, and also noticed a strange smell.
No arrests had been made yet.
Polive believe the woman's husbnd - and father of the children - can help them with their enquiries.
