Fifth ATM blasted by NW robbers

Rustenburg - A Standard Bank automated teller machine in Paardekraal near Rustenburg was blown up on Tuesday, said North West police.
Inspector Erica Roos said commercial explosives were used to blow up the ATM in extension three, but robbers did not get to the money.
Damage to the ATM was estimated at about R200 000.
This was the second attempt to blow up the ATM.
Five ATMs blasted
The previous attempt was on January 12. No money was taken.
Damage to the ATM then was estimated at about R50 000.
Roos said five ATMs had been blown up in Rustenburg since then.
No arrests have been made and police are investigating, she said.
