Caledon - He had sex with her repeatedly, and when she refused, he would pinch her between the legs until she gave in.
The 15-year-old girl who was kidnapped from her home one year, two months and four days ago, said Johannes Mowers, 31, told her she was his girlfriend.
"Sometimes I didn't want to have sex with him because I was tired. Then he would cut me with a knife and throttle me."
"I never wanted to be his girlfriend. I didn't even like him," she said.
The 15-year-old and a four-year-old were found in a hole in the ground on Sunday. It was covered with branches and plastic.
Mowers, a serial rapist also known as "the Phantom", pointed out this spot as well as his other hiding places to police.
They tried to see the sun
The two ashen-faced children who were abducted by Mowers spoke in whispers.
The frail-looking older girl looks around, her eyes wide with fear. Every movement seems to startle her.
She was abducted by Mowers from her parents' home on the farm Diepgat.
She said: "That night he came to ask my mother if I could show him where someone lived on the farm. My mother cried and said: 'Just bring my child back'."
Mowers never came back with the girl. Instead he took her to his hide-out where he was also holding the younger child captive.
"He said she was his child and that he loved her a lot," the 15-year-old girl told Cape Son.
"She was alone in the hole and just slept and slept when I got there."
According to the 15-year-old girl, Mowers told the child her mother was working at the fish factory.
She said Mowers forced her to have sex with him day and night, while the child was sleeping.
"During the day she and I would sit in the hole when Hansie (Mowers) said he was going for a walk."
"There were holes in the plastic and we tried to see the sun through them."
She said: "Sometimes he would bring food back, or biscuits and juice for his child. He didn't bring me anything very often."
On Sunday, when the police turned up, she was on edge and the four-year-old was crying.
"I thought we'd been talking too loudly and that people were coming because they'd heard us.
The police have said they are looking for Katriena Davids, 34, who may be able to assist them with their investigations.
Mowers will appear in the Caledon magistrate's court on Tuesday.
