C-Max escapees recaptured

Johannesburg - Four prisoners who escaped from the St Albans C-Max prison outside Port Elizabeth have been recaptured, the SABC reported on Friday.
Police spokesperson Verna Brink said the four escaped on Friday afternoon. They allegedly stole a number of firearms from the prison store and shot their way out of the maximum-security facility.
They then fled in a car parked on the prison premises.
The four were recaptured later on Friday. Two were being held at a local police station while the other two were returned to the prison, the SABC reported.
