Pretoria - Charges have been dropped against two of the 11 men arrested for the cash-in-transit heist, in which four security guards were burnt to death.
During the heist on September 29 last year, SBV Security Services guards Hennie Botha, Deon Steyn, Marcus Malete and Dirk Kleyhans were all murdered when the van in which they were travelling was ambushed and set alight.
Emmanuel Malebo, Molefe Malebese, Alpheus Msiza, Kenneth Moitshela, Elia Masemola, Manuel Baros, Asser Ndjamba, Jim Ngobeni, Lawrence Mabitsela, Wilson Manaka and Antonia Ndala were charged with four counts of murder and robbery.
The men appeared in Mokopane magistrate's court on Wednesday.
A police official said: "All charges against Masemola and Ngobeni were dropped, and Msiza and Moitshela, who had their bail application hearing on Wednesday, will know the outcome on Thursday.
"The seven remaining accused were remanded until April 25."
