  • Johannesburg - A 17-year-old was fatally stabbed at the Gateway Shopping Centre in Umhlanga, Durban, the SABC reported on Friday.

The youth was stabbed in the chest with a sharp instrument and died on the scene.

Police spokesperson superintendent Vincent Mdunge said a case of murder was being investigated and no arrests had been made.

"We will obviously pursue all possibilities in terms of finding the potential suspects," he said.

"Certainly we have obtained statements from the possible witnesses who observed the incident taking place and we would also be viewing other aids such as CCTV cameras."
