Mashishing - Two restaurant employees have been implicated in a robbery at the steakhouse where they worked.
The Spur Steak Ranch in Mashishing (formerly Lydenburg) in Mpumalanga was robbed on March 29.
A man dressed as a policeman asked to be let in just as the restaurant was closing.
As he was let in, four other men who were wearing balaclavas forced their way in.
"They robbed the shop of R100 000 and took the personal belongings of the staff, said Mpumalanga police spokesperson Captain Leonard Hlathi.
The two employees were implicated in the attack and were arrested on May 11.
They appeared in the Lydenburg magistrate's court on Monday. They pleaded not guilty and were released on R1 500. They will appear again on June 19.
The bogus cop is believed to be a wanted criminal called Judas 'Mjuda' Nonyana from Tzaneen.
He is still at large and anyone who knows his whereabouts is asked to call Inspector Sonnyboy Moloko on 013 283 3800 or 082 303 9879.
